ORGANIZATION FAQ

  • Eastside Rebuild is a multi-faceted reuse, repair, and share organization based in the Wenatchee Valley. We house a reuse warehouse that sells used building material, a community tool library that lends tools, and host repair events and workshops.

  • We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit within the State of Washington. Eastside Rebuild is a DBA of Waste Loop, our parent organization.

This means that all of our finances are publicly filed, and our commitment lies with our mission, not equity. We raise revenue through material sales and fees, which are directly re-invested to cover costs for a space to house these materials, staff to accept, transport, sort, and help with material selection, and to cover all of the typical expenses of running a business. Revenue from the store helps us keep the tool library affordable and repair cafe’s free. By buying at our store, you are helping build a circular economy in North Central Washington!

  • We do accept donations any time we are open. Please see our donation page for more information.

  • We have an ever changing event calendar. We host monthly repair cafe’s and aim to host DIY workshops throughout spring, summer, and fall 2026. Please see the events tab for more information.

  • We do not currently have a repair service for hire. While we do work on tools that break internally, we cannot accept broken items for donation. We host monthly repair events (repair cafes) and aim to educate the community around repair.

TOOL LIBRARY FAQ

  • The Tool Library is available for use to members. In order to get a membership, you would need to sign up at the shop or online.

Most people give a donation for a membership, typically in the range of $50-$100/year. For those that are able, some give $150 or $250 for our supporting memberships. These help us give memberships to those in need- who can apply for a free or low cost membership.

There are no fees associated with borrowing once you are a member.

  • Please visit our MyTurn site and set up an account to sign up. We can also walk you through the process at the library.

  • We have a huge selection of tools in our 1300sqft library. We have most of our tools cataloged on our MyTurn site. We have everything from a simple hammer, to specialized power tools, to farm and food production tools.

SALVAGE FAQ

  • Description text goes here
  • Usually. Depending on the scope of the job and the materials collected, some jobs may be eligible for a material credit which can offset the cost to you. This is most common with high quality materials that don't take long to salvage, such as a cabinet set or several quality doors & windows.

For most deconstruction, we charge hourly and bid out larger jobs. Our rates are just enough to cover our costs and help get the material into our shop. Our rates are competitive with traditional demolition rates, though our work typically takes longer than those using heavy equipment.

  • Through salvage, we collect materials included in our donation guidelines. We typically have a higher bar for items we are going out and picking up or receiving. Not all material is eligible for pickup or salvage.

  • Typically we do not buy materials. Our operation runs on donations. There are sometimes exceptions. If your material or equipment is worth thousands of dollars, feel free to inquire about compensation or consignment.
