Eastside Rebuild
Tool Library
Why buy when you could borrow?
Eastside Rebuild hosts a tool library with over 900 tools in our Cashmere location. We have everything from hammers to highly specialized tools you might need once in a decade. All of these are available to the community for small donations.
How does it work?
We use a software called MyTurn to keep track of our tools. You will need to sign up on MyTurn before we can rent you tools. We only need you name, email, phone #, and a card of file.
Most people donate between $50-$100/year, as this is recommended for a standard membership. Past this, there are no fees per loan. There are other amounts available including free, more on this below.
You can reserve tools online, or come in and have us help pick tools for your project. The TL is open for browsing anytime we are open.
Typical loans are a week at a time, if you need it longer we may be able to renew. Some tools have higher turnovers than others.
While we have some consumables like saw blades and drill bits available, please note that we are not responsible for providing these for your specific project.
Tool Donations
We are now accepting donations! We take most tools.
The Tool Library runs off of donations. This is the only way we keep membership fees affordable and accessible.
Generally, we accept donations of of working, complete and quality tools. We often sell tools and proceeds benefit the tool library when we have excess of some tools. Please do not be offended if we do not accept your tools, we have limited space and resources to work on tools. We do not offer store credit or memberships for trading in tools; donations are donations.
We appreciate the massive generosity of our community! Please see our donation guidelines for additional tips on what we can / cannot accept.
